At a meeting on the implementation of railway projects, Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc called for accelerated progress while ensuring investment efficiency and strategic self-reliance in the development of Vietnam’s railway industry. Notably, the selection of technology-transfer partners must be tied to the prerequisite of transferring technology to Vietnam, alongside requirements for human resource training to progressively build domestic capabilities in railway operations, utilization, and maintenance.

These directions highlight that modern railway development is not merely a matter of infrastructure construction, but also a process of strengthening technological capabilities, human resources, and the domestic business ecosystem.
